Ovarian cancer occurs when cells that are not normal grow in one or both of your ovaries. It most often affects women who are past menopause. Ovarian cancer may cause early symptoms such as bloating, pain in your belly or pelvis, trouble eating, or urinary problems.
These symptoms may be common for some women. But the difference with early symptoms of ovarian cancer is that they follow a pattern€”sudden, unfamiliar, and frequent. If you have one or more of these symptoms almost daily for more than 2 or 3 weeks, talk to your doctor.
